My Dear  Friends in Christ

“The Leaven” greets you in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus  Christ who said, “Faith can move mountains” Implicit in this statement, is the belief that no obstacle is ever too big to overcome with an unwavering faith in God

.This statement is not only applicable to individuals, but also to the Church, the People of God; that no matter what  problems encountered from time to time, the church will be there to survive it and continue the work of God.

To put it in context, our church from time to time, is faced with some major unexpected expenses related often to water, heating  and air. Then there are other heavy known expenses related to property insurance and the like. But these expenses are often taken care of, one way or another, by our  members, either acting  corporately, or individually .

Within the last month or so, several of our members, acting individually, came forward  in a spirit of goodwill and generosity, to take care of certain bills personally.  One paid a bill of $3000.00 ; another gave a check for $1000.00 to fill any need; another handed me another check for $1000.00 for two months Diocesan pledge; and yet another offer to pay another month’s Diocesan pledge of $500.00 .

I write about this today because it is tremendously  good news to share with the whole church, even though I intentionally withheld the names of the donors for good reasons. And there are many others who do likewise. Our  members have a deep motivation and love for their church. As someone once wrote, “No motivation can live where faith and courage is absent.”

I Thank God for you all, for a Congregation like this, that makes sure hat the church is always taken care of to do the work of the Lord, overcoming  any obstacle in is way, through faith and love.

                                                                                                                                                                        Yours in Christ,

Augustine Joseph
