Our Individual Responsibilities

What qualities do we believe are to be characteristic of each church family member?
Our expectation of each church member is that each will be growing in the following areas:

Faith Each of us growing in the assurance of a genuine and joyous relationship with Jesus Christ, which leads to deepening faith, we strive to know Him in truth and experience Him authentically in prayer, Bible study and worship every day.
(Philippians 3:7-14; I John 5:10-15, 4:13-19; II Timothy 3:14-17, John 7:37-39, 14:11-20, 17:20-26)

Friends — We enjoy the friendship of others who follow Christ and share in some form of regular, encouraging, supportive and accountable fellowship together.
(John 13:34-35; Galatians 6:1-2, 9-10; Hebrews 10:24-25; Philippians 2:1-13; I John 4:7-11)

Fruit — By developing our God-given gifts for ministry, pursuing our calling, and giving sacrificially of our resources, we seek to accomplish God’s purposes both in this church and in the communities in which God places us.
(John 15:1-12; I Peter 4:10-11; Romans 12:1-8; Matthew 5:13-16)

Fire — We spread the flame of Christ’s love and truth, each seeking to love our neighbor and to express clearly to our neighbor the essentials of Christ’s good news so that others may come to know our Lord.
(Luke 12:49, Acts 2:1-4, Matthew 28:19-20)
